Lost is the story of the survivors of a commercial jet that crashed en route from Sydney, Australia to Los Angeles, California. They are stranded on a tropical island somewhere in the South Pacific. With your DVD box set, you can follow the story from the very first show.
Lost is filmed in Oahu, Hawaii. There are twenty-five cast members for this television series, representing the diversity of passengers on a typical airline flight. Lost rates as one of the most expensive television series to produce because of the filming location and the number of cast members.
The episodes follow storylines based on events taking place on the island as well as flashbacks to events from the passengers' lives. Because Lost has been such a hit series, references to the show are written into commercials and other television shows, and a Lost video game has been released.
