Harry Potter (Daniel Radcliffe), whose parents were killed when he was a baby, is an adolescent wizard who lives with his aunt and uncle. When Harry is eleven years old, he attends Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, and becomes close friends with Ron Weasley (Rupert Grint) and Hermione Granger (Emma Watson). The film series follows the threesome's adventures at Hogwarts School and the ongoing battle between Harry Potter and Lord Voldemort, the evil wizard who killed Harry's parents. There are many action-packed scenes in these movies, and you will be able to see them as many times as you like with the Harry Potter DVD box set.
The first in the Harry Potter film series, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, which is titled Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone in the United States, was released in 2001.
